PLNs for Educators
As a teacher in a small private school, we don’t have access to the same PD network as those in public schools. Our resources are limited, and our time is stretched. Learning from each other in smaller groups is wonderful. But what about expanding beyond the walls of our building?
Establishing an effective PLN will allow teachers to collaborate and share with other educators and professionals to increase their knowledge and resources.
21st Century Competencies
Expanding and participating in a PLN will help teachers learn and model 21st century competencies. This workshop will focus on:
- Communicate effectively, orally, in writing and with a variety of digital tools
- Work in teams, learn from and contribute to the learning of others
- Social networking skills
This slideshow outlines a presentation that I prepared for my colleagues. It outlines what a PLN is, and gives some examples of how to engage with your own network.
